The Hawaii PUC approved KIUC's 25-year PPA for the AES Mana Solar & Storage project on the Mana Plain, Kauai (35 MW solar + 4-hour BESS). Paired with the recently-approved Ka'awainui Solar, it puts Kauai on track for roughly 90% renewable generation by 2030 and displaces an estimated 5.9 million gallons of diesel a year.
