Project Jupiter — 1,400-acre AI data center campus in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, to be powered by up to 2.45 GW of Bloom Energy solid-oxide fuel cells; replaces previously planned gas turbines and diesel generators; consolidates campus into single microgrid; ~92% NOx reduction vs. prior gas plan; up to $165B total campus investment with 4 data center buildings

Oracle, BorderPlex Digital Assets, and Bloom Energy announced that Project Jupiter — the AI data center campus in Doña Ana County, NM — will be powered by up to 2.45 GW of Bloom solid-oxide fuel cells, replacing the previously planned gas turbines and diesel generators. The microgrid consolidates the 1,400-acre, 4-building campus into a single energy system, cuts NOx ~92% versus the prior gas design, and uses far less water than combustion alternatives. Oracle expects up to $165B in total campus investment, ~4,000 construction jobs and 1,500 ongoing roles. This is among the largest single fuel-cell deployments ever announced and a defining moment for behind-the-meter clean firm power for AI compute.
