NextEra Energy Resources receives NDPSC Certificate of Site Compatibility for the 100 MW / 400 MWh Northern Divide Energy Storage project in Burke County, North Dakota. Backed by a 24.5-year energy storage agreement with Basin Electric Power Cooperative, the project is expected to begin construction in 2026 with commercial operations by December 2026. LG Energy Solution supplies lithium-ion batteries; the project connects via existing 345 kV transmission infrastructure serving the Southwest Power Pool.
